Course Description:
This is a one day course with a focus on the recent advances in acute & critical care medicine. The current practice of these disciplines has dictated the development of acute medicine intensive care units. These units specialize in treating common diseases in acute medicine settings such as Hajj. This specialization results in better patient outcomes.
The purpose of this course is to introduce the concept of Acute Care Medicine and the Critical Care Unit. This course also provides health care providers with the most up to date knowledge and skills which are required to support and manage critically ill patients with acute and common Hajj diseases.
