We are pleased to announce that the Saudi Critical Care Society's Pediatric group is now formed. The SCCS extends a sincere thanks to the numerous physicians who helped to get the society started. In the coming months we hope to start work on numerous projects that will help to improve the care of critically ill children in the entire country.

The pediatrics group has held two meetings to date. These meetings were organizational in nature with the group electing an executive, board members and committee chairs.  (To view the board & executive Click Here)

Three Committees were formed to address the current needs of the Pediatric Intensive Care Community. The committees and charipersons are as follows:

Education & Conference Committee - Dr. May Chehab
Guidelines Committee - Dr. Jabr Al Onazi

The First Saudi Critical Care Society Pediatric Meeting - January 2009
The first meeting of the Pediatric Intensivists was held on January 21, 2009 at Riyadh Military Hospital. The meeting was attended by around fifteen doctors.
