We are critical care society seeking to promote the highest standards of intensive care & critical care medicine for all without boundaries. We are a known organization that can facilitate and enable collaborative efforts in research, training & education to raise the standards of care and improves outcomes for patients.

SCCS is under the umbrella of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) and the leadership of the organization is provided by an Executive Committee comprised of the President and eight (8) Board Members whom serve a term of office for 3 years.  
Annual conferences are being held in various hotels throughout the kingdom. The conference is being held scientifically with both local and international speakers from international critical care societies.

We are now the largest & most active critical care society in the middle-east with more than 3000 members and will continue to grow with the coming of years.

Our Mission & Vision

MISSION
The Saudi Critical Care Society (SCCS) is dedicated to the critical care community in Saudi Arabia. Our membership works in critical care, our leadership are the who's who in critical care in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf region.
VISION
Be the Saudi Critical Care Society pioneer in the Middle East and the Arabian Gulf and the dependent, reliable reference for all health practitioners, their departments critical in these countries from Saudi Arabia. 

About the SCCS

The Saudi Critical Care Society is on its 10 year of service since January 2007, it is under the umbrella of Saudi Council for health Specialties. The society's aim and vision is on continuing education with a focus on critical care. The society has nine (9) executive board members and has established numerous chapters (Pediatric, Respiratory, Neuro & Nursing) Each chapter is headed by  a chairman and has its own membership under the SCCS. 

The Saudi Critical Care society had formulated a total of 21 critical courses out of which are three (3) international courses that are collaborations with the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM), the European Intensive Care Society (EICS), and the Middle East Critical Care Association (MECCA). Directors for courses are assigned to be able to deliver and meet the demand for education and learning of our membership. Courses are offered continuously year round. A quarterly calendar is made available on the SCCS website.

During the increasing cases of MERS CoV  the Ministry of Health and Saudi Critical Care Society together with the Saudi Commission of Health Specialties  successfully educated 2,973 healthcare workers from the community coming from 12 hospitals in different cities in the KSA. This was done via our training centers situated both in Jeddah and Riyadh . This training successfully delivered much needed awareness of the disease.  Courses offered were ECMO, CRRT, FCCN, ARCCA, CCIC and FCCS. There were 105 physicians who participated as a course  instructors  during the 4 months extensive  “MERS CoV  Education Week”

The SCCS Headquarter is designed with two (2) lecture halls that can easily accommodate up to 100 attendees.  A third conference  room with 20 seats and 8 halls with 50 seats capacity and a total of 30 workshop rooms designed to accommodate 20 seats (workshops and hands on) with all rooms being fully equipped with audiovisual  equipment.
